If you purchase a new computer that comes with Windows 10, which we expect to see in stores around September, our Service Center will be ready to support you, but you should be aware of these potential issues. This prompt did not appear on most Brown-managed copies of Windows (on computers in Brown's Active Directory). If you have a personally-owned copy of Windows 7 or 8 and already clicked the “ Reserve Your Copy of Windows 10” prompt, you can always decide not to upgrade when the new version becomes available to you. We also found some issues with Brown services noted in the list below. Please read the "Known Issues" section below for more details on compatiblity before you upgrade. In preparation for Windows 10’s July 29th release, CIS evaluated its compatibility with Brown services and software.įor most of the Brown community, it's now OK to upgrade to Windows 10. ![]()
